Veterans Benefits Educator
I am US Army/Army Reserve retired, 4 DD-214 equaling 8.5 years AD and 13 USAR. I held 5 different MOS's during my time. In 2004 following a dumb training accident my injuries led to a neck fusion and torn up shoulder. Had I known then what I know now I would have demanded an exit physical, likely leading to a Medical Retirement with full pay & benefits.
Heck no-one even told me I could go to VA for my care. It wasn't until 3+ years later when I was hired to become a CVSO that I learned I was VA eligible.
I served as a nationally Accredited County Veterans Service Officer, filing over a 1,000 claims, for 11.5 years before retiring fully in 2019. Now I try to reach & teach as much as possible on LinkedIn. But if anyone out there has advice or contacts in television or any media I am open to any audience I can get.
