Author
Mark Hofmann has been a newspaper reporter for over 20 years and is also an award-winning humor columnist, playwright and contributor to countless “For A Good Time Call...” writings on restroom stalls. Despite the pleadings from his handlers in the witness protection program, Mark currently resides in Southwestern Pennsylvania with his wife, stepdaughter and their two dogs. He has received newspaper awards and honorable mentions from the Professional Keystone Media Awards, the Pennsylvania Associated Press Managing Editors Award and the Keystone Press Award for his writings.
His new book, "Good Mourning! A Guide to Biting the Big One...And Dying, Too" is Hofmann's response to the sudden death of his father in 2018.
The book is a savagely satirical look at death and everything that surrounds it. With "Good Mourning! A Guide to Biting the Big One…and Dying, Too", Hofmann presents critical, yet immature, essays on such subjects as the science of death, ghosts, funeral rituals, the cost of dying, psychics, giving a eulogy, discovering what a dead body feels like, funeral-home etiquette and much more!
His in-depth research (Wikipedia), his relentless dedication to get to the truth (boredom at work) and his strict writing routine (in free-clinic waiting rooms on his cell phone) makes this book stand out in the world of books about death as well as making Hofmann the foremost authority on the things you never knew about death, the things you never wanted to know about death and the things that death doesn’t want you to know!
WARNING: This book is NOT for the easily offended, but it is perfect for those who have a great sense of humor and could use a good laugh in the face…of Death!
It's everything you always wanted to know about death (but were too alive to ask).
